Shamillá (Andi) was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. She graduated from Amos P. Godby high school with honors and was inducted into the National Spanish Honors Society. Upon graduation she moved to Tampa, Florida to further her education at the University of South Florida; where she received a degree from the School of Arts and Sciences with a discipline in Criminology and a minor in Africana Studies. She has worked in the construction industry (oil refining and mining) as a Project Coordinator (yes, she got dirty) for 5.5 years and has experience in technical writing. Shamillá loves to stay busy with her son, Aiden. They enjoy hiking, bike riding, trips to the beach, amusement parks, bowling and DIY crafting projects. Aiden loves animals, so trips to the zoo and any place outdoors is always an adventure for the pair. With all the formal education and professional experience under her belt, baking is a passion of hers. She loves creating new recipes, modernizing old time favorites and creating a “wow factor” for her confectionary treats! She began sourcing her baked goods because she didn’t like the “store bought” taste and wanted to share it with the world. “I love when people eat the things I bake and are quiet! It’s a great compliment! My mother, who is extremely picky, will ONLY eat my Red Velvet and that’s a classic well before my time. It makes me feel really good!” –Shamillá
