The year 2022 has brought a lot of emotions and controversy surrounding women's colligate swimming. Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas is the center of the controversy because of her competition in and dominance of women's swimming. Many of the ladies competing against Lia feel they have no chance to win, no matter how hard they train. Many other swimmers feel that Lia should be able to compete because there is no biological advantage. Lia was a low-ranked swimmer when she competed against men for 3 years. Competing against women for 1 year and she is the most dominant swimmer in the sport. Tune in!!!

Former star quarterback for the Houston Texans Deshaun Watson, will not face criminal charges and is now the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. After 22 civil lawsuits were filed against Deshaun Watson on April 15, 2021, alleging sexual assault, a grand jury decided no criminal charges will be filed against Watson after reviewing all of the evidence available. Days after Watson was found not guilty, he was traded to the Cleveland Browns and earned a $250 million contract. What will Watson's future hold? 22 civil suits are still against him, and the NFL's investigation is not completed.
A few Sundays ago the Oscars had its most memorable moment. Will Smith slapped Chris Rock after Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. Over the last 3 years, the marriage of Will and Jada was the subject of much public discussion, because of the conversations at Jada's Red Table Talk show. From the show, we learned Jada had an "entanglement" with R&B singer August Since Jada and Will's entanglement conversation much of Smith's marriage was made public via the Red Table show. as a result of the Smith's information being revealed. Will and Jada's marriage has become a joke on social media. Many believe that the stress from the marriage and the jokes about the marriage are what set Will Smith off at the Oscars.
