Yecheilyah (e-SEE-li-yah, affectionately nicknamed EC) grew up on the South Side of Chicago, IL. She is an award-winning Author, Blogger, and Poet. Yecheilyah studied Technical and Professional Writing at Chicago State University, and Psychology with a minor in Child and Adolescent Studies at Argosy University, Atlanta. She is a member of Rave Reviews Book Club (RRBC), RWISA International Society of Authors, and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She writes Black Historical Fiction, Poetry, and Inspirational Non-Fiction. Ysrayl is the founder of Yecheilyah Books LLC, Yecheilyah’s Annual Poetry Contests, Lit Mag Literary Magazine for Poets, and The PBS Blog, where she publishes the work of other writers, Book Reviews, and Writing Tips for Independent (Indie) Authors and Publishers. Yecheilyah lives in Dallas, Georgia with her husband and attends the University of West Alabama online while writing and publishing full-time. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

In this episode of the Freedom Train Podcast Series, Joseph and Patrick continue their breakdown of Ice Cube's Contract With Black America. The gentlemen brokedown the Police Reform section of the contract. This section of the document is very robust, Joseph and Patrick were able to get through the first 5 bullet points within their shows time frame. They had a lot to say about this section, but it was an honest breakdown of the document. One thing they have been consistent about since starting to breakdown the document is that they really don't expect racist white people to not be racist and truly honor the document. Royce Lovett groomed his lyrical skills for years as an underground emcee...growing from influences like Bob Marley, Mos Def, and the Motown greats. Throughout that time, he independently toured the globe and performed alongside the likes of Wale, Vince Staples, George Clinton P-Funk, and more. Lovett released a series of independent albums and after signing to a major, released two EPs. He stirred up a genuine & authentic style steeped in hip-hop, soul, and rock guitar, receiving acclaim from BET, Jet Magazine, and more. Lovett says, “When listeners hear my music, I hope they walk away feeling heroic,” he leaves off. “Music doesn't change people. That comes from within. I do think that music can push them over the edge. It’d be amazing if I can help do that.”
