Marshall Islands Nuclear Waste Coffin, The Maleah Davis Case, Truvada #BreakThePatent Controversy
In this episode of the Freedom Train Podcast Series, Joseph and Patrick discuss the "nuclear coffin" the United States created in the late 1950's, to store nuclear waste from a decade of testing in the Marshall Islands. Maleah Davis' tragic and unfortunate death at the hands of Derion Vence, who was the boyfriend of Maleah's mother, and the father of her step-brother. As of now, we know that Vence is responsible for her death and we are awaiting more details about the case. The last topic covered is the #BreakThePatent movement by activist who are protesting the extreme price of the HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis drug Truvada used to help stop the transmission of HIV from one person to the next, and the monopoly that Gilead Sciences has on the Truvada patent. The drug is over priced and the people are fighting back. Tune in to hear what Joseph and Patrick have to say about these topics.
