Rashida A. Marshall is from South Florida and a graduate of Florida State University. Health & wellness and teaching are two areas which have always interested Rashida, and after graduating from Florida State University, she made the decision to switch gears focus on what she enjoyed. Currently, she is the owner of Skillfully Sculpted Health & Fitness through which she offers one-on-one and group fitness training and nutritional coaching to women looking to become shaped into their best selves, along with wellness presentations and workshops.
After about a year of running a monthly health and wellness newsletter for her training clients, Rashida decided to expand upon her idea and created AFIYA Magazine in the fall of 2014. AFIYA Magazine is a digital health & wellness publication dedicated to the enlightenment and empowerment of today’s cultural and professional woman. Its mission is to enhance the awareness and knowledge of health and wellness issues important to African-American women while providing a platform for us to grow, expand and develop within our personal and professional lives. AFIYA Magazine recently released its latest issue of 2016, featuring Professional Figure Competitor Jacquee Fuller. Rashida is also a figure competitor and won her WNBF pro card in July 2015.
