I moved to Tallahassee Florida from Southern California in 2000 to attend Florida A&M University. After graduation in 2006, I was given the opportunity to work with students at both Tallahassee Community College and Florida A&M University. In 2012, I became the Director of Citizens for a Sustainable Future, a nonprofit organization focused researching and advocating on behalf of the underserved communities of Tallahassee. In 2015, I completed my Ph.D. in Public Policy. During my doctoral research, I came across many of the problems that the citizens of Tallahassee were facing. When I saw that those problems were going unresolved and unanswered in many cases, it emboldened my determination to be the change I wanted to see. My education, research, and experiences working in various communities around Tallahassee have given me insight on ways we can best address the challenges we face. Please take the time to review campaign platform, which details my goals for fostering equitable development in Tallahassee, Florida. Campaign Goal: It is imperative that as the City of Tallahassee continues to grow that we make a concerted effort to promote equity and sustainability.
