In this episode of Lessons from the Screen we will be looking at this story as it has developed up to the current point of this show being recorded. We will look briefly at the history of the situation and some of the factors being considered. But we will most definitely be getting into the lessons that can be learned from this situation, especially amid a growing surge of Black Speakers pushing for Black Sovereignty, UN Intervention, and using public shaming on an international level to create social pressure. On December 6th the United States found itself on the wrong end of International backlash regarding its decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This move sent the international community into a rage with the United Nations and some of the United States closest allies issuing statements of criticism and condemnation. Recently this saga continued with the United Nations Security Council seeking to pass a resolution asking countries not to establish diplomatic missions in Jerusalem only to have that resolution Vetoed by the US.
