In season 4 episode 9 of The Fix Sports Podcast, Joseph shines his HBCU spotlight once again on North Carolina A&T State University's Kayla White. White is nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award for her dominance in track & field. In HBCU news, former North Carolina A&T women’s basketball player accuses coaches of ignoring sexual assault claims, accuses coaches of verbal abuse. NBA free agency is underway and big moves have already been made; Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have signed with the Brooklyn Nets. The 2019 NBA Awards happened on Monday June 24th where Giannis Antetokounmpo is named the NBA MVP, the Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins helps feed over 400 underprivileged children, Joseph gives an update of the first two weeks of the 2019 Big 3 season, Rapper TI and friends allegedly jumped Floyd Mayweather’s DJ, and Toronto Raptors President Masai Uijiri is accused of assaulting a police officer, the problem is evidence isn't supporting the police's claims. The weekly rant is aimed at the NCAA; California lawmakers filled a a compensation bill that would allow NCAA student-athletes to earn off of their name, likeness and images. The big bad NCAA apparently has a problem with "student-athletes" earning off of their own names; the NCAA is busy earning off of the players. The NCAA is proposing that if the bill passes all schools under the NCAA will be ineligible for post-season play. Tune in to get your fix!!
