They remain undefeated on the year with a 73 - 21 victory over Lincoln University. On Episode 7 of The Fix Sports Podcast host Joseph Ward puts his HBCU spotlight on Central State University for their upset win over the University Arkansas Pine Bluff. Central State was able to spoil the Arkansas Pine Bluff 2017 homecoming. Joseph also covered the 2018 nominations for the black college football hall of fame, Jennifer Lynn Williams becomes interim athletic director of Alabama State University, Jemele Hill is suspended by ESPN, Zeke Elliot's six game suspension is reinstated by Texas courts, his weekly college football update, and his weekly rant about JR Smith and Mike Ditka. 

On episode 6 of The Fix Sports Podcast Joseph Ward was joined later in the show by guest Monique Gamble. Joseph put his HBCU spotlight on Bowie State University and Mississippi Valley State University. He also covered Jemele Hill's support of an article claiming all straight black men as the "white people of the black community."
