​On season 2 episode 11 of The Fix Sports Podcast, Joseph put his HBCU spotlight on Xavier University of Louisiana and Texas Southern University 2018 baseball team. Xavier University was awarded the GCAC all-sports trophy for the 7th time, and Texas Southern are the 2018 SWAC baseball champions for the second year in a row. For the month of May the Freedom Train Network is celebrating black women, today on The Fix Joseph profiled the great Althea Gibson. Special guest Cam and Mike of the ​Noting Above the Moon Podcast joined Joseph to discuss the following topics. We discussed the Eastern and Western NBA conference finals, we gave our personal all-time NBA starting 5, we discussed Milwaukee Bucks guard Sterling Brown's altercation with Milwaukee police,  GGG and Lomanchanko's latest victories, Deyonte Wilder and Lennox Lewis visit Donald Trump to watch boxer Jack Johnson be pardoned, Wilder follows the event with a video saying he is not a coon, who will win the Wilder Joshua fight, and the NFL decides to make it mandatory for players to stand for the National Anthem. The weekly rant is aimed at Sidney Gilstrap-Portley, a 25 year old man who posed as a 17 year old to play high school basketball, and date a 14 year old. Tune in to get your fix!!!

For our black women's celebration month we take a look at the careers of Venus and Serena Williams. Joseph gives and update of the NBA and NHL playoffs, the son of NBA hall of fame forward Karl Malone, KJ Malone retires from the NFL after rookie mini camp, Joseph covers the 2018 outdoor SEC track & field championships, Michigan State University has to pay $500 Million dollars to the victims of the sick Larry Nassar, Boxer Vasyl Lomachenko scores a knock out in his latest fight, ESPN's 30 For 30 documentary of former wrestler Rick Flair is reviewed, the Carolina Panthers were sold to former Pittsburgh Steelers minority owner David Tepper for $2.2 Billion dollars, and former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant turns down deal to play for the Baltimore Ravens. Our weekly rant is aimed at ex-girlfriend of NFL linebacker Reuben Foster, for admitting she lied about the domestic violence incident.  Tune in to get your fix!!!

​On Season 2 Episode 9 of The Fix Sports Podcast, host Joseph Ward puts his HBCU spotlight on FAMU Women's 2018 Outdoor Track Champions and North Carolina A&T State University's 2018 Men's Outdoor Champions. We continue our celebration of black women by highlighting a young beautiful black lady named Toni Harris, Toni is the first woman to earn a college football scholarship to play a skill position.  Follow Toni and learn about her story on YouTube and follow her on Instagram @_Toniharris. Joseph gives and update on the 2018 NBA playoffs, he gives his thoughts about the documentary The Carter Effect, which profiled basketball player Vince Carter during his time playing for the Toronto Raptors. The mother of a former Duke player say the NCAA is similar to slavery, Joseph gives and update on the 2018 NHL playoffs, he talks about the career of former Dallas Cowboy's tightend Jason Witten, and he recaps the Tripple G vs. Martirosyan fight. Rodney Hood of the Cleveland Cavilers is the subject of the weekly rant for refusing to enter into game 4 of the Cavs vs. Celtics series. Tune in to get your fix!!

​On season 2 episode 8 of The Fix Sports Podcast, host Joseph Ward puts his HBCU spotlight on Grambling’s Haileigh Adams and Virginia State's Trenton Cannon. Adams was invited to a training camp for the US women's under 19 soccer club,  Cannon was drafted by the New York Jets in the 6th round. The month of May is black women's celebration month for the Freedom Train Network, in celebrating black women, we learn about the first woman pitcher in the Negro Leagues Mamie Peanut Johnson, Joseph give his NBA and NHL playoffs update, the WNBA draft is over and former South Carolina forward A'ja Wilson is the first pick of the draft by the Los Vegas Aces, San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon  interviews for the Milwaukee Bucks head coaching position,  and Florida State University's head baseball coach Mike Martin sets the NCAA all-time wins record. Our weekly rant is aimed at Charles Barkley for acting tough and saying he would punch Draymond Green in the face, then we apologizes for his comments. Tune in to get your fix!!!
