Akua Agusi is a Bay Area native now living in Los Angeles, California. Akua’s experience is in educating and empowering. Her efforts began in teaching and tutoring at two Afrikan centered private schools. Later she established a successful teenage girl’s book reading club at the Oakland Ca, recreation center. It was after relocating to Southern California that she began writing. She is now devoted to writing books and taking part in programs that promote children’s pride and awareness about African culture. Be it Africans living in America or globally, there is a critical need for children to learn about people, places and things that are Afrikan centered. Along with historical facts Akua's   titles offer children an instilling a sense of pride, encouragement and education.
​Akua is building programs such as Aset Temple for Girls, S.E.E.D.S art and literary center for learning in Senegal Afrika. Akua is a part of a team of two other women that create and host monthly women’s workshops titled S.A.G.E created to enlighten and uplift our fellow Afrikan women in sisterhood and community development and owner of S.E.E.D S. Book publishing. Akua is most proud of her blessing of motherhood for it has solidified her commitment to not only creating a better tomorrow but enforcing a better now! Her motivation is liberating her people by every mean available and necessary! She believes through education, motivation and empowerment she will be successful at her massive task at hand!
