Kuumba Creations is a mother daughter business that originated in Springfield, Ohio. Seamstress Kandis May and Tailor Gale May. We have over 30yrs of combined experience. We choose to make Afro-urban clothing. Our definition of afro urban is African prints with a modern twist. We design for women, men, and, children. Tallahassee African Fashion Weekend: Kuumba Creations, LLC is dedicated to the cultural preservation of the African aesthetic and desire to bring the beauty of African culture to Tallahassee, FL thru fashion. Tallahassee African Fashion Weekend is Kuumba Creations way to break down barriers created during the Middle Passage so that the African diaspora can begin to heal. Friday November 4th is the pop up shop at Aponi Clan in Railroad Square Tallahassee, FL from 5pm -9pm Saturday November 5th is the Kuumba Beats Mixer from 10am-12noon at Tallahassee Community College workforce development center. MAIN EVENT is the Ankara Fashion Show Saturday November 5, 2016 1pm-5pm Tallahassee Community College Workforce Development Center Grand Banquet Hall Tickets are $15 Sunday November 6th is the Kuumba Pop up shop from 2pm-5pm at mocha reign natural hair studio.
