SW 111: Why are we like this, why do we care so much?

Racism is not merely simplistic hatred.  It is, more often, broad sympathy toward some and broader skepticism toward others.                                                                                                                                          Ta-Nehisi Coates
Do you believe that unconscious racial prejudices reside in empathetic situations? Are you influenced in your empathy by race?

This was a discussion on how so many African American people have more empathy in sympathetic situations toward any race, than any other racial background in this country.  There is a common disparity in this, and that is most races don't feel empathetic toward the black population as they do their own, and even some black people have empathy for other races other than their own.  The immoral aspect of this has been deep rooted in this country for thousands of years. White supremacy has made the trust in your own people limited because they believe in the trust of the people who don't care or have very little empathy toward them in situations they were put in, due to white supremacy.  Black people care entirely too much about people who won't give two fuks about them. Tune in!!
