Today's episode focused on the deadly new drug that has been found in Lousiana called, "gray death." Its heroin with additional ingredients such as fentanyl. The drug is lethal and we wanted to shed light on this new epidemic. Video is uploaded on _shelbysworldpodcast for more information. Also google it to get the ful story.
We also discussed Commitment and the many forms and lanes this word is fitting too. Commitment or the lack of it can cause bad decisions, quick decisions, lack of growth an comfortability in areas of life. Not cutting off certain commitments can lead to adverse affects as well. Reflect on the things that mean you well in life and get rid of the things that you're committed to that mean you no good, people, things, material, places, etc. Our last topic was Cultural support. Queen Candance shared with me a meme that showed all other races helping their people up the ladder but Black folk stumbling, falling, and maybe assisiting one person but not as a team. This made me cringe a tad bit. This country has made a complete mockery off the backs of black folk and its a continual casue and effect. Black people help black people. Just because the positive we do in community receives little recognition, doesn't mean we should receive backlash that is in turn supported by the forces of social media and all areas that create a negative nuance around our culture. We are celebrated for the good we do for each other. Don't let the Societal forces get in your mind and soul. Control the mind, control the body. Quote of the Day is "I swear to the Lord I still can't see why democracy means everybody but me." - Langston Hughes. Check out the episode for the Fact of the Day.
