White feelings should never be held in higher regard than black lives.                                                                                                   - Author Unknown
On today's show we discussed many ways that seeing someone like you in films, short stories, and in life, has a representation on you and how you desire to move, in your own journey.  It helps to reduce stereotypes of the unrepresented.   The media represents the values of society around it, yet for the longest of times, black voices and stories were not valued or represented.

As representation begin to happen, it was compiled of hurtful and stereotypical images and didn’t show all of who we are. In the last 7 years or so, there begin an incline in how the value was added to our stories. Having children see positive images in black men and women, would give more morale and integrity in how they moved and why.

Remember,

We LIFE you, We LOVE you, always,
