Today We Celebrate Ms. Markeshia Lauree Gorden

​“Markeshia Luree Gorden is a playwright, director, producer, actress, leader, visionary, teacher, and ambassador for theater and film.”

A graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University earning her Bachelor of Arts in Theater, Markeshia is the Founder of MLG Productions, Inc., a full service production company that specialize in creating original, premium content for stage, film, television, and digital platforms. In addition to her premium Actor Coaching services, she has written, directed, and produced several stage plays including This Time For Real (2011), Unholy Matrimony (2013), Bitter(2014), and Me Against the World (2015) written by her Pastor Quincy D. Griffin, Sr. amongst a host of others.

Markeshia has received a host of awards and recognition for her talent including Top Finalist in Acting amounts hundreds at the international conference, Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ, where she earned a scholarship to attend the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, California.

Currently, she’s pursuing her Masters of Fine Arts degree in Acting for Film while being no stranger to the screen and stage in Hollywood. Markeshia has been featured in several films and stage productions, including Fences by August Wilson, since taking her leap of faith. She’s now in pre-production for her upcoming project where she plans to write, produce, and star in her first short film.
